How Hotel Gaythering captured 6,137 opted-in guest leads
Hotel Gaythering used playful event photos to build an opted-in audience separate from its hotel booking records.
The challenge
Weekly events brought people together, but the audience left with them
Hotel Gaythering hosted events as often as three times a week for hotel guests and Miami Beach locals. The booking contacts already in the hotel system were not an appropriate list for event outreach, and asking attendees to fill out another form would have interrupted the experience.
The team needed a separate, voluntary way for event guests to opt in—one that fit the social reason they were there in the first place.
“We have events every week, sometimes three times a week, but there’s no good way to collect data for marketing outreach.”
The approach
The opt-in felt like part of the party.
BuzzyBooth gave attendees playful filters and branded photos or videos. Guests chose to enter their phone number or email to receive the media, creating a clear exchange instead of an unsolicited marketing ask.
Each share extended the event beyond the room. Hotel Gaythering could use the opted-in audience to announce future programming and invite guests back.
- Guests created themed photos and videos at weekly events.
- They chose to provide a phone number or email to receive the media.
- Hotel Gaythering could invite that audience to future programming.

The results
Every event helped build the audience for the next one.
Hotel Gaythering collected 6,137 guest leads and captured 14,459 branded photos. Guest sharing generated more than 1.45 million social impressions.
The hotel came away with both event content and an audience it could use for future outreach—without treating the original booking record as marketing permission.
From the team
“With BuzzyBooth, we were able to collect guest data in a non-invasive way while providing something fun for people.”
